PLC Engineer — Schneider Electric

About the Role

EHOSS is looking for a PLC engineer to develop, configure and implement the automation behind our industrial equipment. This is a role for somebody who understands the process the machine serves, works hands-on with the electronics, and moves the needle on how efficient and reliable the equipment is. It is not a service technician post: we are looking for an engineer who holds the whole system and can carry a hard technical problem to an answer.

Responsibilities

• ›Development, programming and configuration of PLC systems (Schneider Electric)
• ›Design work on electrical schematics and automation systems
• ›Configuration and integration of industrial equipment
• ›Electric motors and variable frequency drives (VFD)
• ›Fault diagnosis and repair in electronic systems
• ›Commissioning work
• ›Optimisation of equipment and automated processes
• ›Working with design engineers, process engineers and production
• ›Technical documentation

Requirements

• ›Experience with PLC systems and Schneider Electric software
• ›Hands-on experience with industrial equipment
• ›Experience configuring and maintaining automation systems
• ›Knowledge of electrical engineering and industrial electronics
• ›SolidWorks at basic to intermediate level
• ›Reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
• ›First-cycle university degree and three years of experience in the field
• ›English and Slovak at B2, Ukrainian at C1
• ›Responsibility, technical judgement and the ability to work independently
• ›An advantage: other PLC platforms (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), commissioning experience, HMI / SCADA, a background in manufacturing or engineering companies
